With dedicated exterior music buttons the 5300 XpressMusic really is a great companion for music lovers. Other features of this phone include digital camera with support for video and with a 256MB memory card, expect to be able to store a lot of photos and videos. If 256mb of memory is not enough, the 5300 XpressMusic can be upgraded to have up to 2GB of memory giving you circa 100 albums in this compact mobile handset.
A great feature of the Nokia 5300 XpressMusic is that it has a 3.5mm headphones jack, meaning you can use your own headphones or external speakers to listen to your music, instead of the Nokia hands free headphones which don’t tend to be great quality.
If you are on the move you can connect to Nokia’s Wireless Audio Gateway AD-42W, whereby you can stream audio direct to any audio player wirelessly. You can transfer music or data to your Nokia 5300 quickly and easily using the USB connection.
The 5300 XpressMusic makes great use of EGPRS by allowing you to connect to the Internet and view web pages using the XHTML browser. You can also use the 5300’s EGPRS to download Nokia Games for free direct to your mobile or music from downloads sites.
Other features of the Nokia 5300 are Bluetooth connectivity which allows for wireless phone calls using a compatible Bluetooth headset and can also be used for file transfer to and from your handset.
The Nokia 5300 XpressMusic can be used in flight mode which allows the user to listen to their music whilst traveling on a plane without having any other phone functions. In flight mode you will not be able to text or make a call, which means it is safe to keep your phone on whilst making a flight.
